A strategic partnership to accelerate intelligent charging management for electric fleets of public transport operators in Switzerland.

In the context of public transport electrification, managing fleet charging has become a critical challenge for operators. Ensuring vehicle availability, controlling energy costs, and managing gridconstraints significantly increase operational complexity.

To address these challenges, Softcom Technologies is partnering with Tenix, a Norwegian company specialized since 2012 in intelligent charging management systems (CMS – Charging Management System). This partnership aims to bring to Switzerland a platform capable of optimizing fleet charging in real time, taking into account both operational and energy constraints.

Increasing operational complexity

Across Europe, public transport operators are accelerating the electrification of their fleets to reduce their carbon footprint. However, this transition comes with increased complexity: ensuring vehicles are charged and ready for service every morning, avoiding energy consumption peaks at depots, optimizing energy costs, and coordinating charging cycles with operational schedules.

As electric fleets expand, charging becomes a strategic issue for ensuring service continuity. Without appropriate tools, planning quickly becomes complex and cost-intensive.

Tenix at the core of charging management

Developed in the Nordic countries—now among the most advanced regions in electric mobility—Tenix’s solution forms the core of the charging management system.

Its platform enables automated orchestration of vehicle charging, optimization of existing infrastructure usage, smoothing of energy consumption, and ensuring operational availability of fleets.

Based on real-time and planned data, and interconnected with charging stations, vehicles, and operational systems, it allows charging to be managed proactively and automatically.

Softcom : integration and mobility systems expertise

Softcom brings its expertise in mobility systems and its ability to integrate the solution into operators’ existing environments.

By connecting charging management with planning and operational systems, Softcom ensures this new component is embedded directly at the core of operations, maximizing its value.

A shared vision: making charging a key operational lever

Ensuring every vehicle is ready to operate, at the right time.

This partnership is based on a simple conviction: the performance of electric fleets will depend on the ability to manage charging as a core operational function.

By combining Tenix’s technology—at the heart of the charging management system—with Softcom’s expertise in integrating mobility systems, this offering provides a concrete solution tailored to the realities of Swiss operators.
