THE PROJECT
The Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) mandated us to develop a software solution for the efficient management of incidents occurring in certain tunnels and on certain motorway sections.
EXPIC, the solution developed by Softcom, is an integral part of (AS-VTV)* and uses the automatic incident detection (AID) system of FLIR cameras. Currently active in 6 tunnels in the canton of Vaud and two in the canton of Fribourg, it manages recordings, reactions to events, as well as the monitoring of equipment and associated alarms.
BUSINESS NEEDS
Designed for police and highway maintenance personnel, EXPIC is intended to manage video surveillance of highways on a larger scale, thereby increasing safety. This highly reliable solution is, unlike other products on the market, totally flexible, since it can be integrated with different superior systems and technologies.
